Poker.com is a Brisbane, Australia based online poker room (operating under licence from the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, Canada). Poker.com is the trading name of Poker.com N.V. relaunched in 2005 with new software.
Rake ranges from $0.50 to $3 based on the number of players at a table. Fairly standard for the industry. It’s also good to see Poker.com has adopted a "No flop, No drop" policy, where they take no rake if the hand ends before the flop. The Poker.com website security is achieved via SSL Version 3 with 128 bit encryption (Thawte SSL certificates). Poker.com's games, systems and random number generator comply with the Kahnawake Gaming Commission's requirements and ongoing audits are conducted to ensure continuing compliance.
Poker.com is a virtual business - email rather than telephone or physical contact - expect both knowledgeable and quick responses (in minutes not hours or days). They have a good set of FAQs and a web site especially for poker support: http://www.PokerCS.com
Poker.com offers a great way to show off your new 24" widescreen monitor - maximise Poker.com's Hold'em to full screen - even the carpet looks real. (Most poker rooms don't even come close!) Other features our testers like include the ability to earn & display Poker.com "Accolades" where you can attach an "award" to your player identity showing off you've won a big event - earn stars for regular players. Watch the table graphics change as you move through to the final table of a tournament."Rabbit Hunt" (what card would have come next), "Expose One Card" options also add some depth to the game. The "All in Percentages", relative win % of those remaining in a hand. An ability to tag players (as sharks, muppets...) is also a standard feature. Stable, quick to play and intuitive to learn.

NOTE: PokerLabRat.com tested 170 poker rooms this quarter and failed or rejected 93% of them. Poker.com passed with 91 out of a possible 100 points.
This review is not the formal site analysis, just a high level summary of the key aspects we like and don't like about Poker.com.
NOTE: Singaporean and Australian poker players can't play for real at Poker.com. USA Players are still warmly welcomed!
The Merge Gaming Network has introduced an industry-credible poker player rating system based on the chess ELO system. Find out where you rank, elite through to Grand Master ratings win cash & tournament credits.
Like most online Poker rooms, Poker.com is played in US dollars. Deposit Methods: Neteller, Citadel (Canada), ECOcard, Click2Pay, Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard), PinCard, AllianceCard, WireCard, FoneLinx* and Moneygram*.
* these methods are at present especially good for US residents with bank hassles.
Minimum Deposit: $25.00 USD. Withdrawals depend on the method you used to make your deposit. Poker.com can’t pay out to credit cards. You can become eligible for permanent instant withdrawals by establishing a good playing history, completing identity verification, etc. Minimum Withdrawal: $10.00 USD.
Site traffic is good at Poker.com (3000-ish ring game players at peak and 7,000-ish tournament players), we've had no trouble finding action. As you might imagine the domain name POKER.COM is pretty compelling...and they still accept US players so are growing.
Poker.com offers good tournament play opportunities including Freerolls, Sit 'n' Go and Multi-Table with Limit, pot-limit, and no-limit options across a range of table stakes from $0.01/$0.02 to $30/$60. You can also host your own tournament. Daily and weekly guaranteed tournaments plus satellites into the major WSOP events. $35,000+ guaranteed in weekly Freerolls at Poker.com.
